is home to Portland, Oregon based solo artist, John Vecchiarelli. It was
created as a vehicle for publishing, distributing, booking, and promoting
his music. speckRECORDS
has also become part of a community of likeminded bands and musicians
who freely exchange info on getting their music out, both live and recorded.
The music "industry" is wide open these days. There is much
that can be accomplished outside the large corporate avenues to successfully
promote and distribute music to the diehard music fans who truly appreciate
it. More and more artists, small labels, and indie promoters are taking
these matters into their own hands. It is our opinion that this helps
create original, uncompromising music, and a more vital scene. It is also
our mission to contribute to this scene, and we extend an open invitation
to independent artists from all areas who wish to share shows and ideas.
We are always excited to listen to new stuff and help out when and where
we can.
